La Macchina Sognante and The Dreaming Machine responded to the to call  for worldwide readings issued  by Internationales LiteraturFestival Berlin for September 7, 2022 by organizing an International, multilingual, Zoom with participants connecting from as far as India, Germany, Portugal, Poland and California.

The website Frontiere News showed its support for the initiative by generously dividing the one and half hour session into separate, short videos and hosting them on its platform. Additional technical assistance was provided by Melina Sofia Piccolo.

 

We make them now available to our readership for viewing:

In the first video , Pina Piccolo, from a Macchina Sognante and The Dreaming Machine, presents the initiative and reads some of  Natalia Beltchenko’s poems translated into italian.

 

 

And here is Natalia Beltchenko reading her poems in Ukrainian:

 

Marina Sorina reads her Italian translation of Inna Romenska’s poemfrom Ukrainian:

 

Lucia Cupertino reads Italian translations of Serhyi Zhadan’s poems and translates some into Spanish

 

 

Bartolomeo Bellanova reads Italian translations of poems by Khrystia Vengrniuk and Agnieszka Tworek

 

Andrea Garbin reads  Italian translations of prose pieces by Lesyk Panasiuk and Daryna Gladun

 

Sana Darghmouni reads Italian translations of Halyna Kruk  and translates some of her poems into Arabic

 

Marinette Pendola reads Irina Shuvalova and translates some of her poems into French

 

Guido Cupani reads Italian translations of Oksana Stomina’s poems

 

Gentiana Minga reads the Italian translation of Yuri Bondarchuk, Halyna Kirpa, Igor Pomerantsev and then translates them into Albanian

 

 

Massimiliano Damaggio reads Italian translations of Ella Yevtushenko

 

Georg Schaaf introduces the section of readings from abroad , with a German reading of Ilya Kaminsky

 

 

Biswadip Chakraborty reads the English translation of a selection of Iya Kiva’s poems and then the Bengali translation by Bishnupriya Chodoury

 

 

And we closed the Zoom session with Luciana Messina reading the English translation Yuri Durkot
