The Author:
From her native city of Philadelphia, cradle of the American revolution, to Florence, cradle of the Renaissance, Brenda Porster has crossed over from English to Italian poetry. She writes in the language of both her identities, and her poems both in English and Italian appear in collective anthologies and in several foreign countries. Specialized in literary translation, she has translated a large number of contemporary Italian fiction writers and poets., including Mario Luzi (in Toscana Mater), Ida Travi, Mia Lecomte, Gabriella Cinti and Federico Italiano. She collaborates regularly with the publisher Castoro in the translation of children’s books, and is a member of the Compagnia delle poete, composed of transnational women poets whose multimedia poetic productions have been performed all over Italy and abroad
The Illustrator
Eduardo Maria Manuguerra (Erice, 1994) is a graphic designer and illustrator. He studied with Maurizio Olivotto, Mauro Bubbico and Guido Scarabottolo between Florence and Urbino. His Work focuses on visual communication such as editorial projects, identity and illustration. Currently he works as a book designer at Maretti and Manfredi Edizioni.
